Birth Anniversary & Urs of Sufi Saints
"A Journey of Spiritual Light"
Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar (Pakpattan)

The Urs of Baba Farid, the revered Sufi saint of Pakpattan, is a deeply spiritual event marked by devotion, poetry, and reflection. Known as the pioneer of Punjabi Sufi poetry, Baba Farid’s teachings emphasize love, humility, and selflessness. Thousands of devotees gather at his shrine during the Urs to offer prayers, listen to soulful qawwalis, and walk barefoot in reverence. The atmosphere becomes sacred filled with the fragrance of rose petals and the rhythm of Dhamaal,
symbolizing unity beyond caste or creed.
Hazrat Data Ali Hujwiri (Data Ganj Bakhsh, Lahore)

Held annually in Lahore, the Urs of Hazrat Ali Hujwiri , fondly known as Data Sahab—is one of the largest spiritual gatherings in South Asia. As the author of Kashf-ul-Mahjub and a spiritual guide to many, his shrine draws devotees from all walks of life. The Urs is marked by langar (free food for all), mehfils of qawwali, and heartfelt prayers. The event reflects the core of Sufism—compassion, inclusion, and divine love—keeping alive the light that Data Sahib spread centuries ago.
